The success of Transportes J.Carrión is derived from its highly-trained workers and their years of experience in the field.
Our team is formed by a regular staff of over 300 people. Another important part is the 100 direct collaborators that use the company’s standardised methods and equipment. Finally, we must include another 100 indirect collaborators who provide their own resources.
Fleet
The active fleet exceeds 400 units of Volvo tractor trucks and refrigerated semi-trailers.
All of our vehicles are under two years old and their maintenance is guaranteed by the main organization of Volvo in Europe, Veinsur, S.A., which is also a member of our Group of Companies.
In addition to their impeccable technical maintenance, the vehicles in our fleet, and those of our collaborators, are all equipped with GPS and communication devices that allow constant control of their performance and the status of their shipments. This in turn facilitates the tracking of each journey and keeps customers informed. It also fully optimizes the use of available resources.
In the past year, the fleet has carried out close to 20,000 journeys transporting in both directions of exportation and importation, which strategically creates an extremely high level of efficiency.
Facilities
The main operation centres are located in Almería and in Montormés del Vallés (Barcelona), but we also have access to all Veinsur facilities in Andalusia and Catalonia we can use as auxiliary centres for our fleet, carry out maintenance en route or make any necessary driver changes.
In Montornés del Vallés, given the close proximity of the French border, we also have cargo consolidation warehouses in order to optimize shipping routes and guarantee deliveries by established deadlines.
All of these logistics centres form a perfect network which guarantees our philosophy of fast and reliable service, while meticulously meeting all regulations regarding driving time and rest. Complying is made easy by the availability of two-driver pairs and the possibility to relieve fellow drivers at various locations along journeys.
